Southern Kingdom Tour
The title of this unforgettable motorcycle tour is "Southern Kingdom," referring to the three kingdoms in South Africa: Lesotho, eSwatini (Swaziland), and the Zulu Kingdom. While Lesotho is known as the "Roof of Africa" due to the highest plateau in the world, eSwatini is often called the "Switzerland of Africa" for its picturesque mountains and valleys. The Zulu Kingdom is entirely South African.
The journey begins at Johannesburg Airport, followed by a transfer to the hotel where your motorcycle is ready. All arrangements have been made for a carefree vacation. The first day takes you through the Free State to Clarens, a journey along peaceful roads with special attention to potholes.
The tour includes breathtaking highlights such as the Laitsoka Pass in Lesotho, the Golden Gate National Park with unique rock formations, and the Midlands Meander in KwaZulu Natal with a visit to the Nelson Mandela capture site. After visiting Oribi Gorge and St Lucia, where you'll experience Urban Glamping, a "rest day" is scheduled with a Game drive in the iSimangaliso Wetlands National Park.
Next, you cross the border into Swaziland and stay in the picturesque Ezulwini Valley. Then, you head to Hazyview for a safari in Kruger Park. The Panorama Route offers stunning sights like God's Window, Blyde River Canyon, and Bourke's Luck Potholes. After a day without the motorcycle in Hazyview, on the penultimate day, you ride over the Long Tom Pass, visit the Sudwala Caves, and reach Graskop.
The last day takes you from the Long Tom Pass back to Johannesburg, with an expected arrival in the afternoon. The itinerary can be adjusted to personal preferences.
For more than 5 motorcycles, there is a backup vehicle and guide for luggage transport, while fewer than 5 motorcycles provide the option for "self-drive" with amenities such as GPS, routes, and accommodations.
